As smartphones are able to sense location, enable geofencing of office locations so as a person approaches/enters the workplace each day, the app can either generate a pop-up asking the user to check-in or be configured to hard (auto) check the person in, depending on business rules.
The app could then also monitor if the person has a desk booking and if not, automatically offer options based on previous booking history.
The same logic could be used to offer check-out for the day functionality and/or feed into SVlive attendance/occupancy reporting.

Enable the ability for the user to configure and manage their default building and floor.

Utilise the geolocation capability of mobile devices so that as people enter a workplace a notification automatically pops up and asks them to 'Check In', if check requirements are enabled. This geolocation is based on each building's long and lat details in building configuration.
This could also be reversed that each time someone travels more than XXXm/ft from the building it pops up to confirm if they are checking out for the day.
