  1. In Hoteling, the days available for booking in the next month are not bold unless I click the arrow to change the month. It would help if you could see it boldly.

  2. We are starting to have considerable problems with supporting databases of clients that have heavily adopted the uses of document management. This is giving us almost unmanageable size databases with 90% of the database size just documents. we have a 65Gb database with 55Gb of documents. I feel there is a definite need to review how documents are managed and look to store within files that are far more manageable and designed for storage of this kind and leave the data for data. if a method is identified an option should be created to move the current docs out, maybe…

  3. In the Building Operations Console, it would be nice if after a work request is selected or opened it becomes highlighted in the Building Operations Console so that it can be easily found one the detailed work request window is closed.

    This is especially true for users that oversee a high volume of work requests.

  4. Work History viewed in the same format as the Building Ops console to make a consistent user experience for processing WR or reviewing history.

  5. In a SaaS implementations, having the Basic Rules Wizard available to create methods that could be used as pre / post connector methods would provide what might be the last/missing piece to connectors.

    A limitation of connectors is importing data into existing fields (em.namefirst and em.namelast) and then using those same 2 incoming fields to populate a third field, especially when trying to concatenate 2 fields AND use only a single character from one of the fields - left(namefirst,1) + ' ' + namelast

  6. There are times when multiple Craftspersons are added to Multiple Work Requests in the Maintenance Console. Currently the Craftspeople need to be added individually. It would be nice if the Select Craftsperson could allow for multiple Craftspeople to be selected rather than one at a time.

    This does not sound like much of a time savings for users; however, when there are more than a few Craftspeople to be assigned, the savings can be significant.

  7. Upgrade runoff area management :

    Technical : Identify each runoff by a multiple key instead of autoID, like the rooms
    Functional : Integrate an area report (for example, at site level in Define Locations)
    AutoCAD : Be able to associate a drawing to a site, not only a building (so far, runoff drawings have to be created manually in afm_dwgs).

  9. When a photo is added for a room in the "Define Room" page, the photos show up rotated 90 degrees CCW. I am wondering if there is a certain photo size/orientation/file type that is required to make these images show up correctly within web central as well as Workplace. Thank you!

  10. In Hoteling, a floor plan that has rooms for a different department around another department. It is very confusing as the rooms are not cleary for the highlighted department,. Could we re-introduce the bubbles as a parameter, so rooms can have the bubbles and highlights?

When a Craftsperson receives a Work Request in Mobile Framework which references an Equipment, or when she enters or scans an Equipment Code, Mobile Framework should alert her if the Equipment is under Warranty. The Craftsperson should then have an appropriate way of handling it (e.g. Return or forward to warranty provider).

  12. For large organizations, there may be several Move Coordinators. Each needs to manage only assigned Moves. Currently that is not possible in the Move Console. There is no filter on the Move Coordinator for Individual Moves. Group Moves do not even have a Move Coordinator field, only a Project Manager (which also has no filter).

    Further, Project Manager is not necessarily the same as the Move Coordinator (especially if the Project is shared with Project Management or other applications). So there should be a Move Coordinator field in the Projects table for Group as well as Individual moves. Then in…

  13. Are there going to be any changes in mobile 4.0 that may address additional data fields such as "Due Date" and "Date of escalation"

    Our concern is that the only data which is provided on the mobile app as far as dates, is the date the work was requested and there is not field for Due Date
    We are wanting to ensure that we don’t miss out on getting any work requests (especially critical PM’s) completed before the due date or escalation date as our goal is that 100% of critical PM’s are done on time.

  14. Currently in Archibus Workplace, employees can only search for a meeting space or desk in their assigned building. Companies that have multiple buildings in a small geography need the ability to find any space across the multiple buildings and still see a list of spaces that match the search criteria. In order to accomplish this now, the employee has to use the "Buildings" list button and run the same search multiple times.

  15. email errors are logged in the archibus.log file. If a client does not have email setup, it still logs all the errors about unable to send an email because it can not connect to the email server. this loads up the archibus.log file with a LOT of errors that are unimportant.
    the software should have a way to turn off the email notifications logging without turning off other logging of other things.

  16. I have been reviewing the requirement for a client and there has been a lot of questions relating to data analysis to assist with maintenance planning and strategy. It would be good if we were able to provide some extension to include multiple function associated to a individual asset or an asset as a standard so the we can offer risk determined by the function that is of issue and which could then predefine the priority of the an action to resolve the issue.   17. Some projects are feasibility studies and not the actual, it would be great with Archibus could handle some scenario planning around projects.
    Basically it would need the following:
    1. an ability to replicate a project an set as a scenario project
    2. a report to compare the performance of two projects based on factors such as a prioritization matrix, risk etc.
    3. There are reports like the project scorecard which evaluates costs vs schedule but there is currently no way to only compare a few selected projects with that report.

  18. Since the very first version of the Smart Client Extensions for AutoCAD the command AFV is no longer available.

    AFV is a function that allows the AutoCAD designer to choose which Asset fields to show when performing a catalog layer.
    As this function is used from within AutoCAD it gives the user the flexibility to temporarily change the assets texts in specific drawings.

    The Smart Client Extenions for AutoCAD does include a global setting per Asset called Set Asset Text Visibility.

  19. Web Central allows for the capturing of the Physical Count of Parts per Storage Location and then running an adjustment process to update the quantity available from the physical count. A mobile functionality to capture the Physical Count of Parts per Storage Location will improve the turnaround times, accuracy, and user-friendliness of this process i.e. an Inventory Manager can sync the information to the app on a device, update physical count values and then sync back.

  20. The Archibus "Data Source" API sets the "Name" of each data element in the JSON data to the Field Name from the Data Source (i.e. TableName + dot + FieldName). We have unsuccessfully tried a couple of ideas to specify an alternate "Name" of the data elements.

    The Customer Services Team advises me that there is currently no mechanism that will allow us to specify the "Name" of each data element in the JSON data.
