Measure distance between two points when re-designing space
As a Space Planner, I want to quickly be able to measure the distance between two points when considering redesign options. In 2.0 we had the Measure Line tool, which helped save me a lot of shoe leather! Enhancements to this could be the ability to draw more than one line, and the ability to print lines I draw.

Adjust Polylines/Mapping in Serraview 3
As per Serraview 2, we need the ability to add and adjust the polylines/shapes of rooms/desks on the floorplan, just like we could do within "Mapping" within Serraview 2.
This is so that we can:
a. quickly adjust spaces without having to wait to a CAD technician to make changes
b. load floorplans from PDF/image where we can't readily get access to a CAD drawing.51 votes -
Icons/Pins - Emergency Exit, Fire Alarms, Printers, Cameras etc.
OBJECTS icon available to be placed on floorplan example Emergencies Exits, Printer Objects, Cameras, Fire Alarms, Heart defibrillator etc.
Once these are place on the floorplan, users have the option to view these object base on selection and print the floorplans in Space Viewer, VBS & Reporting.

Spaces should have a SpaceID and a Space Name
Within our CAD files we have a unique number to identify each of our spaces. We call this our SpaceID. Today this comes into Serraview's "Space Name" field. In Serraview this should really be renamed "SpaceID".
Within Serraview, we'd like to be able to optionally add in a "Space Name" for each of our rooms.

Serraview has been enhanced to allow spaces to have a Preferred Name, which will allow you to list a space by both a Space Name or ID (such as a room number) and a Preferred Name (such as a room name).

Custom Labels/Icons/Markers that can be viewed on floorplan
We would like to ability to view custom labels on the floorplan similar to 'space type' 'name' and 'occupant'.

Show Space Area in all Space Types in Spaces Module
Please create a 'Spaces' tab in the Information Pane from which provides a count/SF of all Space Types for a Floor, Building or Team.

Space Viewer - Person Search should show Neighborhood
Person search - when you search for person assigned to Neighborhood (Unassigned seating) it show floor only. If this function would show the neighborhood

Space viewer bulk update
It is important to have ability to update space directly on a floorplan. In Space viewer you can search for spaces, but you are not able to update them. On the other hand, in VBS you can udpate spaces but you are not able to search for them or select a space type category the same way, as in Space viewer.
Also there is missing bulk update for selected spaces on floorplan. It`s good to have bulk update in configuration, but visual overview of spaces and the ability to update them directly in Space viewer is much needed mainly if…24 votesThe bulk update feature has now been released & available for use.

Spaces Module to remember color-by when switching floor plans
The new 'Spaces' module does not remember the legend set up when switching floor plans. In the old Space Viewer product, we could toggle specific space types on/off and then open another floor and the colors/legend would be the same. This was helpful if we were looking for specific space types on multiple floors. It saved a lot of time by not having to re-expand and re-select the desired space types.

Change width of Legend Selector Bar
The limited width of the Legend Selector bar means that the names of the space types are truncated. It would be useful to be able to change the width of the bar.

Access the space details and edit space from Space Viewer like in VBS
Aetna would like the ability to bring up space details and edit them from Space Viewer like you can in 2.0 and in VBS

Add allocation view to Spaces
It's useful to be able to provide View access to Spaces for a lot of user types. One lacking aspect is visibility of allocations, which can only be viewed in VBS and other areas.
It would be great if an allocation view could be added to Spaces so lower level users could gain access to that info without needing to provide them VBS or reporting access.

Search Function to show Neighborhoods
When you search for person assigned to Neighborhood (Flexible environment) it show floor only. If this function would show the neighborhood it would help especially on larger floors.
8 votesThe Spaces App search functionality has been improved so that if a person that is searched is working flexibly against a team or a team that is in a hood, it will highlight the spaces belonging either to the team or hood.

Ability to Collapse Right-side Menu in VBS and Spaces
As a Space Planner,
I would like to be able to collapse the right-side menu items in the Spaces, VBS, and Scenario Planner modules
So that I can more easily see the full floorplan. This is especially difficult for screens with smaller resolution, or for when trying to conduct a presentation or demo.7 votesThis functionality was delivered in the June 7, 2025 release.

Legend In Space Viewer
The legend in Space Viewer requires the user to manually choose the space types every time they use the module. Is it possible to have the legend updated so each time you open the function the legend is automatically set to have all space types selected?

Upload photos by spacetype
When uploading photos, it would be helpful to be able to do this by space type. This way it would save a lot of time instead of having to go into each space and upload individually.

A release has been added to Serraview, which allows users to add photos to any space.
Find this under the Spaces Module > Attributes. You can read about how to update attributes on the Knowledge Centre.

Measuring tool from 2.0 did not make the leap to 3.0
We no longer have the capability to measure distance in Space Viewer with Configuration legacy is no longer available. Will the measuring tool make a come back soon? This would help with giving us an idea how much rentable square footage is needed for clients.
