  1. Some of our clients are using Workplace as the only interface for their user base. These users are identified as "Requestors" and since they aren't granted access to Web Central, there isn't a way to view an occupancy plan - meaning seeing employees on a floor plan. Workplace allows a user to search an employee but what's more desired is to bring up a floor plan and see who is seated on the entire floor at once. Our clients would like to employee names and when clicking on the room/employee, the detailed employee panel is displayed much like when you…

  2. Upon creating a User Defined Field, the system generates the field to be at the bottom of the list under 'Other Details'. There is currently no way available for users/administrators to re-order the field from within the UI and requires an update to the view files directly.

Having the ability to change the order UDF's display at least within the 'Other Details' section would be very helpful for end-users.

  3. In order for lease chargeback agreements to work properly, it requires going into the Cost Wizard, finding the scheduled costs, and then changing their Cost Statuses to AUTO-CHARGEBACK. This is cumbersome since someone would need to search for the scheduled costs and change each of them from AUTO-RECURRING to AUTO-CHARGEBACK since they are monthly/quarterly/annually/etc recurring costs.

A mechanism to flag the recurring costs to default to AUTO-CHARGEBACK would save time and the potential for error.

  4. Customers consistently ask for the ability limit the Problem Types that are displayed for a user on the request form based on location. For examples, many organizations use a mix external and internal service providers based on the discipline and the location.

    Possible Solution:
Add a configuration option in "Define Problem Types" that works similar to the Site/Building VPA lists. Problem Types with no restrictions applied will show for every location. Problem Types with a defined Site or Building list will automatically restrict based on the configured list and the selected location for the request.
    Considerations:
    The feature should work…

  5. Ability to log in as another user to test a change in this user's configuration or try reproducing an issue only this user is seeing.
With SSO enabled environments, this is not doable
The system should keep track of this action for audit purposes

  6. Homepages are well received but what would make it stand out more is a filter option to focus the data seen on the homepage to a location, ie a site, or a building. This would make it very comparable to the function of a dashboard. Especially if I just want to start the day looking at the full portfolio statistics, then switch over to a single site, and see all the metrics at that site.

If the homepage metric doesn't go down that granularity (ie site or building) then at least those metrics can just be restricted out of the…

  7. Enabling workplace in kiosk mode automatically signs in the GUEST account
However if SSO is enabled it is not possible to sign in as GUEST
Therefore the kiosk feature is not available for those clients (which are pretty numerous).
A solution could be for instance to be able to define a specific user account to be used with the kiosk (instead of the default GUEST account).

  8. There is a need to review all the various emails that are sent in the Building Operations Module and ensure that they can be managed consistently from one place. Currently some email notifications are hard coded (e.g. Preventative Maintenance SLA Emails, when a WR is forwarded to a workteam/supervisor, etc.), some are managed only from the message table and some are added by the user under "Manage Service Desk Steps".

  9. Upon 2D publishing in REVIT, some assets are not correctly published or better said are not correctly included in the JSON files and from there are not « clickable » ( = selectable) in the SVG drawings, e.g. in the Web Central consoles that use 2D SVG/HTML viewing.

This seems to happen for assets (e.g. equipment) that belong to « work plane based » families, such as solar panels placed on a slanted roof and defined as such in the properties/constraints.

This kind of family needs to be compatible too in order to be used for modern buildings.

  10. When using Outlook plugin with SAML integration users get really confused when they see the Archibus Web Central interface.

For this it would be ideal if they did not see this and it would auto-close that window.

  12. Right now archibus allows us to register a new visitor and invite them to a meeting or to a booking. We are hoping for some extended functionality.

    1. visitor pass generation - ie a printable HTML formatted email that shows someone is able to be at the office.
    2. Visitor notification of arrival - a way visitors can check in at a lobby and allow those who are having a meeting with them to be notified of their arrival. Or in a booking scenario if someone booked them in then that person gets the notification.
    3. Reports - again, the challenge is archibus…

  13. As we use the integration with REVIT for BIM integration, the use of different lengths for different codes of asset tables (eq,ta,fn...)
It would be good to have the codes (and descriptions) length are all the same (to the longer ones) so they can be treated in similar ways in BIM and other systems.

  15. When viewing the made requests over to the workplace portal, it would be nice to see comments for the request. For example if a ticket submitted was rejected, it doesn't explain why there was a rejection to the end user.

The email notification from the rejection also does not share the comment. But the rejection process done over in the webcentral maintenance console does have an area where you can write a comment so someone is filling that information out. Basically the requestor should know why it was rejected because it was a duplicate or was it because it's too…

  16. Multiple customers have recently been asking for a Microsoft Teams integration to support Reservations/Hoteling. As Teams is now becoming more of a central coordination point for many organizations, not just for chat but for file sharing and time management, keeping all administrative tasks centralized to a single app like Teams is desired. This could be as simple as an app built for teams that displays Archibus Workplace within the Teams environment.

  17. Currently, Workplace Applications display settings are universal. But different users need different applications (e.g., internal users need Hoteling, external users such as tenants, branch managers or vendors do not). Add security groups to control application display options (as in Mobile).

  18. Currently, all published layers display in Workplace floorplans. Many organizations publish many layers. Web Central views can control which layers display, but Workplace cannot. Perhaps a system parameter? Or a new publishing rule dedicated to Workplace. Best would be different settings for different Workplace application.
