  1. v25 has exposed a lost of functionality with the AutoCAD edit data command. The edit data pop-up in Smart Client no longer allows the edit of a Department Code without the parent Division Code to be entered; the same can be said for the Room Type / Room Category.

Per Tech Support "This disallowing of entering data directly into a child field was a intentional change in the product design for reasons of application performance and data integrity."

This greatly increases the time it takes to input data.

  2. When planning preventive maintenance, if you can change the scale of the planning board monthly, weekly, or daily, you can flexibly work on long-term plans, this week's plans, etc.

  3. When Editing a Reservation, a new email is sent for changes (date/time), but no cancellation email is sent to remove original reservation from users calendars.

It should also generate the cancellation if an Attendee is removed from the original reservation

  5. With reservations, whether this is a meeting room booking or a desk booking the idea is companies now need to make staff check off for before and after use of a booking/reservation, ie. 'did you do this or that?' This questions seems to vary between clients it would be nice to somehow generate a questionnaire that the administers can setup and ask a question to the requester making a reservation or a desk. Some questions they may ask could be:
    - 'Did you disinfect the space?'
    - 'Do you acknowledge you obeyed this or that?'
    - 'Comment on new safety…

  6. Even if you have the "Enable Lookups" option turned on, any drawing view that uses legends still only shows the code and does not show description. In general, it would be helpful for all end users to see both the code and description in a drawing legend (regardless of the Enable Lookups option)

  7. Currently you can apply a security group to a service request type to restrict it in the Web Central "Create Service Request" view. This restriction should be carried over to workplace.

With the questionnaire functionality added to workplace, clients would like to use the new interface for all requests, but for some requests like badge and key they should not be open to anyone to request.

  8. In Workplace, limit the calendar to working days (configurable).

It should be possible to configure working days, and hide / disable all dates outside (=weekends).

And / or, "à la" Outlook, toggle between a full week / working days view.

  9. Currently on the page which shows the list of work requests the Room Number is NOT visible. Our trades use this to plan their day and right now they have to go into each request individually to plan their day.

  10. Implement a mechanism to avoid that users loose their local settings (e.g. Select Fields column layout, etc.) after clearing the web browser cache.
Basically, when a user customize a grid panel's columns layout, perhaps hiding or showing more columns, those settings are stored locally on the user's browser temporary files. As soon as the user cleans the browser cache such settings are gone and he/she has to start over every time for all the views.

  11. To support workspace reservations, or team space based seating, adding additional functionality to either manage lockers or tie to locker management systems would be valuable. For example, when making a workspace reservation, give the employee an option to indicate if they will need a locker for their things along with the reservation and include a reservation for a locker as part of the same booking. Or for a simpler fix, adding an application parameter to include a checkbox on a reservation to indicate whether the employee needs a locker, and when selected include configurable instructions on the booking reservation to…

  12. Requires an alternative way to define open office space with workstations that are now used for Hoteling. The current method of polylining the workstations as ROOMS feels like a workaround solution. The end-result comes with flaws:
    1) we end up subdividing the floor plan into numerous "rooms" that are in fact workstations. The polylining exercise is super tedious because we need to ensure that they all add to the accurate total floor area as well. Worse when these workstations are set up in irregular shape (honeycomb, circular etc..) Very difficult to represent them in space.
    2) we have to create…

  13. The sync performance on the maintenance module of the Mobile app is utterly awful. Its not clear to the user if its carrying out a full background data sync or just partial sync of updating information. it seems to sync so many variables/field/tables which are not in use, updated, or effected by the data to sync. The end user experience is really bad. This MUST be made better and more seamless to the end user.

  14. I propose to:
    1. Consolidate Equipment, Tagged Furniture, and Furniture tables under one Assets table.
    2. consolidate both EQ Standard and Furniture Standard to one Asset Standard table.

Currently, we cannot run basic SLA services on furniture. Consolidation will enable users to look at their entire asset portfolio (No Building No Properties) in one location and will enable:

    1. planners to create furniture capital replacement plans
    2. facility managers to see available assets in rooms that include furniture in one report
    3. allow systems to extend to Furniture
    4. Allow Employees to request services for Furniture assets

It will also enable us to expand…

  15. What I would love to see from a portfolio summary/dashboard is a way to view/adjust occupancy.

    Something like this…

    Total Headcount
    Total Seat Capacity
    Total anticipated WFH %
Total seats required with WFH %
Total anticipated seat to headcount ratio (1:1.5)

Ideally, we could dial this up or down to see how it impacts portfolio overall.

  16. A single user would then become a part of multiple user roles either increasing their ability to view/access areas of Archibus or gradually restricting their access / VPA as roles are assigned to them.
Therefore a user with more than one role would see all the processes for all the roles and apply all their VPA restrictions.
This would allow admins to create roles per application (for example) and assign those to different users

  17. When an employee do not have a room assigned (or a booked workstation) but has a building assigned to his profile, and you search for that employee in People & Places in Workplace, it says that the floor plan is not available. It would be nice if the floor plans for the building would show up.

  18. It has been brought to my attention by clients and confirmed by Archibus that with the newer versions of Smart Client (Probably v2022 and after?), users will be kicked after 30 minutes of inactivity. In all other previous versions, users were able to remain in Smart Client indefinitely. This is favorable for our CAD/Revit users who may spend their entire day in CAD/Revit or Smart Client. Archibus says this change was made because the indefinite connection was problematic for SSO users so they've now hard-coded a 30 minute timeout.

I'm suggesting that this Smart Client timeout be configurable. A setting…

  19. When using the Asset Disposal Console, you are able to review activities assigned to the asset, such as: assessments, work requests, project actions and hoteling requests.

There is no indication where PM Procedures are assigned to the asset (either by location or equipment).

When an asset is decommissioned, there should an indication of active PM Procedures so that they can be removed from the system, otherwise they continue to trigger work requests even after the asset has been decommissioned.

  20. In WebCentral & Workplace, show the version number again (it used to be in "about").
Now there's no way for a user to indicate what version he's using.
    This is paramount for support.

Suggestion : it could be visible in the menu in bottom/left or in the "my profile" popup.
