  1. When using drawing check-in/check-out, copies of the DWG files on the local PC are named in all lowercase, despite them being in uppercase on the server.

    For example:
    • File on server: BL-FL-01.dwg
    • File on local PC: bl-fl-01.dwg

    We have found this can trigger case-sensitivity errors, especially when XREFs are involved, in third-party applications that utilize and process the AutoCAD drawings. The errors are not within Archibus itself and there is no impact to Web Central or Workplace. We have clients who use third-party tools to publish AutoCAD drawings (stored on the Archibus server) for purposes outside of Archibus.…

  2. When booking a room, there are often particular notices for special rooms. Would like to see the ability to add text to the room arrangement that, if populated, would be displayed in a window that the user has to accept to book the room.

    Often this is not something that every room needs but if a particular room has a use policy or a cost associated with it that needs to be communicated to the users.

  3. Currently, Archibus sends an email notification as soon as it's created in the system. This is usually fine for small volumes of email, but some SMTP servers won't allow Archibus to authenticate multiple times in a row in quick succession. Please consider adding a batching mechanism, so emails can be sent in groups using a single authentication with the SMTP server.

  4. Archibus is a powerful and complex tool. However, we've encountered some challenges with bugs and areas that appear less polished.

    Eptura relies on Integrator (PaaS), which is beneficial as it allows Eptura to concentrate on the product. However, this should not result in disconnecting from clients.

    Clients should have a more streamlined method to report and address issues, or to access articles on problems collaboratively. Here are some suggested features:

    • User-friendly search functionality across all following items
    • Integration of User Voice for enhanced feedback
    • Access to Use Cases and White Papers
    • Easy reporting of cases/issues/bugs

  5. Improve the Search and Manage Work Requests form with tool tips and modification of navigation / layout.

    For example, layout could be improved by (1) grouping certain fields under a heading. For example, Location for the group of 4 related fields and Date for the 6 date fields, and (2) keeping related fields in the same column.

  6. Create a queue for notifications, so Archibus can resend when there's a temporary mail server outage. Currently, if a notification fails because of an issue with the mail server, then that notification is "lost".

  7. After v26.3, Eptura added 4 new fields to the [afmnotificationslog] table. These fields are, [createdtime], [createdat], [emailcc], and [emailbcc].

    The View Notifications Log view in WebCentral that is used to view with Notification Log has not been updated to include those fields. The number of records in that table can get quite large, making the filters very valuable. In v26.3 and earlier, the Search by Date Range - From and Search by Date Range - To were valuable to search by the [serverdatesent] value. Since v26.3, the [created_at] is used when notifications…

  9. Reducing the spacing between rows in subsequent levels of the hierarchical tree. The idea is to make more data fit on the screen. Applies to all hierarchical tree views in Archibus.

  10. In date fields, after opening the calendar, when you hover over the day number, it should highlight or change the font color (before clicking). In older versions of the system, the font turned blue.

  12. We would like to have a mechanism that allows the inspector to notice when the entered value deviates from the standard. (Primary upper and lower limits, secondary upper and lower limits)

  13. Error - Jason 500 error on downloading background data. I have 100% failure to load background data, with JSON Parse error: Unexpected Token. I believe it is because that the volume of data being loaded passes a timeout limit or the app is not fault tolerant enough for system latency. on possible solution is to further parametise other back ground downloads to remove or stagger data that is not used by the business or certain roles. Example is that we may not want gardeners to download eq data. Or download less history or no warranty. Our eq table stands at…

  14. When an employee do not have a room assigned (or a booked workstation) but has a building assigned to his profile, and you search for that employee in People & Places in Workplace, it says that the floor plan is not available. It would be nice if the floor plans for the building would show up.

  15. On the Work Team Performance Report, having the ability to isolate a Work Team in the Report would be beneficial.

  16. From Reports Central you can only join directly related tables (for example Floor to Building) but the joined table cannot be related to their related tables (for example Floor to Building to Sites)

    It would be needed to join with the joined tables both in Reports Central and in Smart Client

  18. A client found an issue with priorities not sticking on work requests in the Maintenance Console under certain actions.

    These are the steps:

    1) A work request is submitted with a priority of 3.
    2) The work request is approved.
    3) Update the work request.
    a. Add a craftsperson to the request and add time to the request.
    b. Change priority from 3 to 5.
    c. Save the update. Popup about returning to beginning of workflow and click OK.
    4) The work request is approved again with the priority at a 5 still as needed.

  20. The navigation from Workplace to Select a Building to Request a Service screen (see attached) and then to the Service Catalog provides an extra click because People & Places is not being used by our organization. We would like to have the ability to navigate from Select a Building directly to the "Service Catalog removing the Request a Service screen. Our go-live is in early 2024.
