Employee Adding, Editing, Deleting without Importing
In addition to this suggestion, "As an admin, we need the ability to edit specific employee name, department, title, reporting to, etc. WITHOUT having to import full csv file every time," we also need to be able to add/delete employees regardless of whether they were added manually or imported.
Having the option to add/delete/edit in the UI makes it more user-friendly, as it would just be a quick-click-feature like how it is for adding Employees (but by deleting and editing fields, of course). If we can add employees manually, there should be some code mapping that can delete it from the list too...right? And then we can have both important and manually added types connect to one another somehow...?
With that said, I just find it odd that when uploaded through the import, it differs from those added manually. Mainly it's when making any changes to other employees; we'd still need to import the whole list later on, which would make the manually added employee function as an imported employee. Thus, manually added employees does not do anything in the long term since we'd just have to keep importing for other edits. Importing just causes so much user error too, in my experience.
LOTS of firms have employees come and go too, and I've found this function in multiple competitor apps before we tried this one. It'd be great for SiQ to have this too, especially since SiQ has one function we could not find elsewhere; this specific function was the main reason my firm started using this app.
Additionally, when I’ve shown the process to our other admin, the most difficult part for them was remembering the mapping of fields, especially as my firm has different purposes for how we use each field. My team is not the most tech savvy, so that’s a personal worry I have.
