Increase Axle Schema Flexibility for Complex Fleet Configurations
Business Need
Organizations with complex fleets need the ability to accurately represent real-world tire and axle configurations within Tire Management. Current system limitations prevent certain equipment and trailer setups from being modeled correctly, creating adoption barriers and requiring manual workarounds.
Current Limitations
Maximum of four tires per axle (two per side).
No ability to support equipment requiring up to eight tires per axle.
Axle names are fixed and cannot be customized.
Limited flexibility for complex trailer and heavy equipment configurations.
Requested Enhancements
Support more than four tires per axle, including configurations with up to eight tires.
Allow greater flexibility in axle schema design for complex equipment layouts.
Enable custom axle naming to align with customer maintenance and operational terminology.
Business Value These enhancements would allow customers to accurately model their fleet configurations, improve Tire Management adoption, reduce workarounds, and support more effective tire tracking, maintenance, and reporting. The inability to represent these configurations is currently a key obstacle for organizations evaluating whether to fully adopt and retain the Tire Management module.
