VBS Restricted Viewing
Similar to Workplace, it would be good to be able to restrict what buildings/floors users have access to in the VBS.
This would make it easier for companies with higher security requirements to comply with their companies policies.

This functionality was delivered in the June 7, 2025 release.

This would be huge for clients with government contracts and a wide variety of permission levels.

This ability would be very helpful. There are quite a few requests to grant access to just one or two buildings or regions in Spaces and VBS and the new feature is great to remove some buildings from view, but the opposite function of granting just a few buildings would be perfect. Maybe have them by role, where people with an admin/super user role can see everything but a lower access role you must grant each buildings access

We need to be able to assign Spaces end user roles limited to 1-2 buildings. The end users need to be able to have the functionality in Space (which is very limited in Workplace Portal). The system administrator needs to be able to assign this access to limited buildings (similar to the function available in Workplace Admin).

The local Workplace team should only edit the Space attributes of their own building/site. Currently there is no granular edit access control by site and it poses some data security concerns.

I think it would be more accurate to have the OPTION to disable the Spaces button in VBS.....

Client wants to disable the Spaces button for users so that they are not able to edit space data via VBS

Please add the ability to give people permissions to allocate staff to workpoints per building within '"spaces", but not have visibilty or control over any other building.
-
The ability to restrict how a user (or group) can access data based on a site or region. Examples:
- Provide VBS and Spaces access to a single site only
- Provide VBS edit and spaces read access to a single site only -
A way to further control the spaces or VBS building, workpoint and allocation controls, to key space managers, by retricting their ability to access and edit buildings based on geographic control. EG User John Doe can only edit all VIC buildings, while user Jane Doe can edit all Aus buildings.

Would also be great if we could use permissions to limit what region/building/floors different users can view and/or edit as well as limiting their view of the people and other resources assigned to those zones.

As a system admin for a University, I'd like to have the ability to restrict the ability to view + edit details at a space level.

As an administrator I'd like more granular security options around what I provide my users access to within VBS and BOS in particular.

Ability to limit access by portfolio hierarchy. Ability to limit access (visibility) or have read-only access to specific fields that are sensitive

Can we have greater control over what specific user groups can edit? This might be at a field level or even at a form/tab level.
The problem is that some non power users are editing data incorrectly, and it's throwing out our data quality.
eg. people are being assigned to restrooms; people are pulled off a seat, but not marking it as retained.
