  1. When new versions of existing floorplans are imported there should be a warning if spaces (and employees) will be removed due to that import. This is a problem because often the floor id on the importer 'refreshes' to the first floor in the list and an entire floor of data & occupancy is lost because the wrong floor is loaded.

    There are lots of suggestions that we have to reduce this risk. In order of preference:

    • A warning identifying specific spaces and occupants that will be removed with the import & an option to proceed or cancel.

  2. I would like a user to be able to modify their locale profile value without giving them visibility to the User Security section of Serraview.

    The ability of a user to modify the locale value for themselves in their Profile, so as to see imperial units instead of metric units when viewing floorplans, is controlled by the 'Configuration - Security - Edit User' Secured Action. But for this action to work, the user also needs to have the 'Configuration - Security - Access' Secured Action.

  3. Hi - the Space Report in Quick Reports is much improved. Just one more thing needs to be added. Please look at adding names to the report, or add an additional Quick Report that also includes names.

  6. Currently, when a Retention Status is configured for a space, current occupants of the space are removed.

    Lurie Children’s Hospital has a valid use case where they have a need to add a retention status to multi-occupant spaces, without clearing occupants.

    For example. Double office with a workpoint count of 2. Office has one assigned occupant and one desk which is being retained as future growth. Similarly, Triple office with a workpoint count of 3. Office has one assigned occupant and two desks being retained for future growth.

  7. In the proposed new structure of Serraview modules, some items are placed into categories that don’t seem to make sense. Below are my proposed changes to the structure:
    Move “User Security” to Admin Settings > System Configuration. "User Security" is an action that is protected and given to a special role to ensure all users are approved before granting access.

    Move Org Hierarchy, Space Types and Bulk Updates to Resources. These actions are commonly accessed by various roles for the work they perform and not as restricted.

  8. Different views and visualizations in the Spaces module can be highly valuable to different kinds of users. For users with only Spaces access, there isn't a good way to view org allocation without running Floorplan Block.

    Requesting that SV builds an org allocation view in Spaces for this purpose.

  11. You can currently perform an Occupancy Import to Bulk Update Retention Statuses. It would be great to also have the ability to update Retention Status Comments in either this same import or via the Bulk Update tool.

  12. As a Space Planner/CAFM Admin,
    I would like to be able to change point space types to polygon space types (and vice versa) in the Spaces or VBS modules,
    so I can better manage changes to individual spaces.

    Currently, the only way to change spaces with different polyline types is to complete a workpoint import, which is a lot of work to make a change to a single space.

  13. Wondering if we can get BOS to generate move Placards for our Move Vendors? We currently manually do a Mail Merge to make signage placards or labels (see attached PDF for example) but if Serraview can automatically generate one based on the BOS information, this would save us a lot of time.

  14. Request using International Standard Time Zone abbreviations (EST, MST, PST, etc)., for any Reports that include Start Time Zone and End Time Zone, instead of using a city that resides within the time zone, but isn't necessarily a valid location for the organization. For example, using EST (for Eastern Standard Time) instead of America/Toronto (per attached).

  15. In Serraview 3.0 there isn't an option to disable the User password from expiring.

    Navigate to
    Admin Settings > General Configuration > User Sign In

    We would like the option to disable Serraview user password expiry.

  16. Currently the Workplace Quick Reports governs both Floor & Team quick report access in the Workplace Portal. In many cases, we only want an administrator to be able to pull reports for their own team, not for the entire floor.

    Being able to split which reports or available in the Floor vs Team quick reports would enable us to provide added benefits to our teams as the risk around allowing access to the floor reports has meant that the quick reports function is unusable.

  17. Make the line that's in VBS & Scenario Planner VBS underneath the floor that you can click and drag to enlarge the size of the floor, much more obvious.
    At the moment it is practically hidden unless you know it's there

  18. Add a delete icon/button to the VBS toolbar to quick deletion of teams and neighbourhoods.

    These are the two most popular topics on the help site and would be great for user experience.

  20. It would be excellent to have a system notification or summary pop-up that notifies users that a person has been added to the People Directory so that the local admins can review and action. We have holding floors created for our sites that does aid towards identifying new additions but for those admins covering regional sites, they may not automatically check this without being prompted.
